The one and only Krispy Kreme liquid nitrogen milkshake. Oh so tasty!
Lamburger with green olive relish, cucumber yogurt, raisin ketchup, & mint
Butternut squash tempura with oaxacan chocolate salt
And my very own jar of bread and butter pickles.
There are no words, it was amazing. I don't want to go back to Kansas.
"ODE TO GWINNETT"
What'll ya have, what'll ya have?
Frosted orange or Coke with lime?
Walk a heavy dog with a bag of rags
And we'll get ya to Duluth on time!
What'll ya have, what'll ya have?
Wrinkled strings my dog-eatin' brother?
C'mon, we'll get ya to that Tool show
But I don't know nothing about a cover!
What'll ya have, what'll ya have?
Trouser-chili or a yellow dog?
Ring one while there's still some sun
And we'll thrown in a toasted bun!
(Knowing that you're on the run)
What'll ya have, what'll ya have!
All the way for you and your lover?
A Varsity orange with two straws,
Blame God if there ain't no cover!
HAPPY TRAILS
I'm getting rid of a bunch of books on Amazon, but would rather friends get some use out of them. If you are interested in any of these books with the exception of the Biology related texts let me know and I'll pull them and set them aside for you, no charge of course. I'll even ship 'em to you as long as they aren't too heavy ;) I've always thought books should be shared among friends and plus it may give us an excuse to get together.
Book #4: Tell Me Where it Hurts by Nick Trout
This book was one I couldn't put down. I loved his outlook and his insight into veterinary medicine. I laughed, I cried, I finnished it as my plane landed in Pomona on my way to my vet school interview. It is definately on my list of rereadable material.
Book #5: The Runaway Friend by Kathleen Ernst
Okay, some my find this a little lame, but I went to the American Girl store and they had a new book for Kirsten, the doll I had as a child, and I bought it and read it while I was camping over Spring Break. I was surprised at how captivating it was, actually. Very cute.

I just arrived in Cali. I'm trying hard to resist the urge to rent a car and drive to the coast, I've never seen the Pacific, fortunately the LA traffic is a good detterent.

I can't believe I'm on book 3 already, I must have too much time on my hands.
Alex and Me by Irene Pepperberg( My thoughts )
I'm off to a heck of a start for my 50 books in 2009. I just finnished The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio by Terry Ryan.( My thoughts )
So I failed miserably on last year's goal, but I'm starting off right this year.
This morning I finished A Dog Year by John Katz.
( My thoughts )
Heart rate is back to normal. I'm being kept overnight for monitoring. Gary dropped Salem off at the vet so they could keep an eye on him and Gary went home to rest. I'm still bored.

The surprise: My little girl is actually a little boy. (I told the vet this when Salem showed up, he told me I was wrong)
The perverse: Salem thinks Scooby(my 65 pound mutt) has a sweet ass.
Time to get him snipped, glad I waited or the vet would have likely tried to spay him.
Book #5: Birth: The Surprising History of How We Are Born by Tina Cassidy
While this book was utterly fascinating to me, I'm not sure someone who is 'expecting' should read it. Its kind of gory, okay its really gory, but really interesting, learned lots, will likely never have kids because of it.
